Job Description The National Training Manager (NTM) supports the Retina organization in designing and delivering training solutions to a field sales organization. An NTM ensures that Training & Development and Brand Strategy are effectively represented in all training programs and solutions. The role requires building relationships with key stakeholders, managing diverse stakeholders at various levels, and applying high‑level performance coaching, strategy alignment/execution, and training fundamentals to enhance participants’ learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver compliant learning solutions that increase the effectiveness and credibility of participants.

Build trust and credibility with key stakeholders through regular interaction, evidenced by feedback and proven partnerships.

Leverage existing Learning & Development core platforms and content within the specific Franchise/Brand training products to minimize duplication.

Demonstrate direct and open communication with stakeholders, resulting in positive relationships and alignment.

Provide candid and specific verbal & written feedback to training participants, fostering awareness of strengths and areas for improvement.

Coach and give feedback to National Field Trainers (NFT) across the organization so they can excel.

Recognize the skill level of participants and adjust coaching/training techniques to meet their needs.

Develop Guest Trainers and/or Rotational Trainers, giving them meaningful roles and one‑to‑one coaching.

Apply knowledge of stakeholder businesses, strategies, and priorities, integrating training activities into brand team business plans.

Lead cross‑functional initiatives and additional special projects within the training organization.

Serve as a product and disease‑state expert and an expert in non‑therapeutic areas such as customer and business skills.

Assist with onboarding, development, and mentorship of other NFTs, fostering teamwork and positive peer‑to‑peer relationships.

Execute with minimal guidance or direction from senior leadership.

Qualifications

Specific knowledge of Eye Care, preferably Retina.

Buy‑and‑bill experience.

Bachelor’s degree.

5+ years of field sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry as an Account Executive or District Manager, or 2+ years of sales training experience.

Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical products (e.g., CFR 210/211, cGMP).

Prior experience leading projects with regional or national impact.

High performing sales track record and strong understanding of what drives success in a commercial organization.

Key Stakeholders CA&O leadership, Franchise/Brand Sales leadership, Franchise/Brand Marketing leadership.

Additional Information The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and may change. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees. This job is eligible to participate in short‑term and long‑term incentive programs. No amount of pay is considered wages or compensation until earned, vested, or determined.
