Royal Hawaiian Movers, Inc. has an immediate opening for a qualified Sales Surveyor with some experience in moving and transportation. The Sales Surveyor will be responsible for going to the offsite location, evaluating the furniture items, to include weight and size and noting those items. This position will also conduct virtual surveys with customers from Royal’s office. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail. Salary, depending on experience, will range between $48,000 - $50,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs surveys for local, office, and international household goods and freight moves
Sends out quotes on surveys and follows up with customers
Answers any queries which the client may have about the moving process
Answers phone and walk‑in inquiries for moving services
Prospects, establishes, and maintains relationships with customers to create opportunities for future and sustainable business
Must be able to learn the move ware system and maintain the system
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Written and verbal communication
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
Ability to operate a tablet during face‑to‑face surveys
Ability to use a computer proficiently
Must have a valid Hawaii driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
Must be able to pass background test and drug screening (to include marijuana, medical marijuana, and THC)
Must be able to acquire DBIDS
Should have an understanding of volume, cube, weight and the ability to communicate this to customers
Should have an understanding of logistical operational challenges to plan and execute efficiently
Most have a friendly and positive attitude
Attention to detail
Sense of urgency
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
Some moving and transportation experience preferred but not required
Strong customer service experience required
An understanding of the island, traffic patterns and travel times and distances
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB
Ability to Drive: Must have a valid Hawaii driver's license and a personal vehicle to perform surveys, which involves driving to various locations.
Mobility and Physical Stamina: Ability to move around during household, office, and industrial relocations to perform surveys, including walking through different properties and occasionally navigating stairs or uneven terrain.
Manual Dexterity: Ability to operate a tablet PC during face‑to‑face surveys, involving the use of hands to handle and operate the device.
General Physical Fitness: Must maintain a reasonable level of physical fitness to handle the demands of the job, such as standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or moving small objects during surveys.
Visual Acuity: Good vision is essential for reading documents, using a computer or tablet, and driving safely.
Weightlifting Restrictions: Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally during surveys and job check‑ins.
