About the Role
A Detroit based independent insurance agency has an immediate opening for an experienced
Surety Account Manager
supporting a bond portfolio which is heavily focused on contract surety. You will be assigned a book of business to manage on a daily basis – client inquiries, bond requests, underwriting analysis, negotiating terms with underwriters, running client meetings, etc.
Duties & Responsibilities
Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships
Assist clients and staff with service questions related to administration, billing, and claims issues
Work with the sales and client service team to monitor and manage the renewal process
Coordinate client meetings to prepare for renewal decisions as well as ultimately present renewal options
Review claims reports
Skills & Experience Minimum two (2) years of experience handling policy administration and account management related duties for bond/surety accounts.
