Summary of Position As an Assistant Manager, you will achieve sales growth and maintain company standards of excellence for your assigned shift. You will manage the flow of food service activity, assign tasks, oversee cash control, and focus on delivering the highest quality food and hospitality service. You will also train team members under the guidance of the General Manager, support overall operations, and help develop and retain staff.
Essential Duties
Supervise Team Members and Shift Leaders, maintaining standards in quality, service, cleanliness, and profitability.
Coordinate staff training with team trainers.
Maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and fellow Team Members.
Handle HR issues such as disciplinary write‑ups.
Conduct team meetings to discuss operations, procedures, and promotions.
Conduct weekly inventories and control payroll and inventory to meet company standards.
Support management and the General Manager in operational decisions.
Maintain reports and records in full compliance with state and federal regulations.
Ensure building and equipment maintenance through proper operating, cleaning, and preventative maintenance procedures.
Assume responsibility for cash, including bank deposits and proper cash procedures.
Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and security policies.
Maintain personal appearance and professionalism.
Perform other tasks as directed by management.
Physical Requirements
Stand for long periods of time.
Work around high temperatures.
Work in close quarters with others.
Able to lift 50‑75 pounds comfortably.
Work with various cleaning products.
