Position Purpose : As a
Swim Teacher
at FOSS, you’ll teach life‑saving swim skills to children and adults in a fun, safe, and splashy environment. No experience needed—we provide paid training to help you confidently teach our Swim Path curriculum. Have a passion for water? Weekday Evening Shifts (starting at 3:15pm)

What You’ll Do
Teach 1–4 students per class using hands‑on instruction (following the FOSS Swim Path curriculum) and promote swimmer safety.
Ensure a safe, engaging, and educational experience for students, similar to working in daycare or childcare settings.
Engage with parents/guardians on swimmer progress.
Demonstrate the FOSS Cultural Pillars: Connect, Collaborate, Empower, Belong.
Bring FUN, energy, and connection to every lesson!
Qualifications
Must be 18+ years old
Comfortable working in a 91‑degree, chlorinated indoor pool
Able to lift/hold up to 50 lbs.
Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Experience with children preferred (aquatic experience a plus)
Working Conditions
Ability to work in water and go underwater to demonstrate the physical movements necessary to teach the FOSS Swim Path Curriculum.
Work in warm, humid indoor pool environment with water temperatures up to 91 degrees.
Ability to be exposed to noise, chemicals, industrial equipment, and supplies.
Communicate respectively with teammates, adults, and children using clear, professional, and age‑appropriate language.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
