Schedule / hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm ( 60 biweekly hours). This position is responsible for: Performs a variety of clerical and secretarial work necessary for the smooth operation of the office for two departments at Divisional Headquarters. Key Responsibilities
Processes a variety of routine paperwork necessary for office operations. Performs typing and filing as a majority of the responsibilities. Files and records information; answers the telephone and provides general information regarding the office operations. Performs routine data entry and keypunching of information into a computer; proofs reports for accuracy and completeness; updates and maintains various logs, lists, reports, and records. Assists the Divisional Service Extension Director with social services work in the absence of location managers; assists with Christmas efforts. Assists the Human Resources department by maintaining the filing system of human resources paper and electronic documents; processes electronic and manual new hire/termination requests, background check submission requests and E-Verify entries; monitors attendance balances and leave requests; audits and performs data entry and edits in the time keeping system. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically. Ability to type and keypunch data into a computer with a high rate of accuracy in a timely manner. Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time. Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
