JR101954**Job Description:**Repairs and maintains all equipment related to the maintenance and conditioning of the golf course while working closely with the golf course Superintendent in a positive team environment.**Essential Job Functions**Performs preventive maintenance, repairs and sets up all equipment and licensed vehicles used by the golf course maintenance crew.Maintains an adequate inventory of parts and supplies.Keeps the golf course maintenance shop in clean and orderly condition.Coordinates and schedules all daily/weekly/monthly/annual maintenance of golf course equipment.**Other Duties**Performs related work as required.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (These are pre-employment KSA that apply only to Essential Job Functions.)**Knowledge of--* Small engine repair.* Hydraulics.* Welding.* Electronics.* Grinding and sharpening of reels and bed knives.Ability to--* Operate the equipment required for golf course maintenance.* Deal effectively with the public.**Required Qualifications (Note: Any acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted on a full-time year for year basis.)****Training and/or Education:**High School diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented with courses specific to mechanical maintenance.**Experience:**Six months of mechanical maintenance experience.**Licenses or Certificates:**Valid driver’s license and a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with Federal Regulations.**Special Requirements:**Subject to background investigation.**Physical Demands:**Work requires long periods of standing, frequent walking, repeated bending, crouching, stooping, stretching or reaching; recurring lifting of objects up to 49 pounds.**Unusual Demands:**None.
