Machine Operator – 2nd Shift
Georgia‑Pacific LLC seeks a safety‑oriented Machine Operator for the 2nd Shift in Milford, NJ.
Salary & Compensation $23.50 per hour plus a $1.50 second shift differential. Eligible for a Performance Pay program with up to a 6% quarterly bonus.
Shift Details
Second Shift: Monday–Friday 3:00 pm–11:00 pm; overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
Orientation on 1st shift (7:00 am–3:00 pm); permanent shift assignment within approximately 30 days.
Milford operates on a point‑based attendance program.
What You Will Do
Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
Monitor and enter data into computer control systems.
Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
Perform basic asset care duties, including routine preventive maintenance and cleaning.
Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
Basic Qualifications
At least 6 months experience operating production machinery.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance.
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.
One year or more experience in manufacturing and/or industrial environment.
Experience in the corrugated packaging industry.
Physical & Other Requirements
Strict adherence to safety rules; wearing required safety equipment.
Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling up to 12 hours a day in a loud/noisy industrial environment.
