This position involves analyzing and executing test plans, conducting hands-on and automated application testing, quantifying and qualifying test results, and communicating outcomes to the team. You will have the opportunity to support DOR and Missouri citizens. Location
The office for this position is located at the Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 W High Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Responsibilities
Software testing of integrations, functionality, business rules, data conversions, mobility, performance, security, and more. Interact with Department of Revenue (DOR) customers and other stakeholders, such as vendors. Maintain a positive working relationship with all ITSD functional areas. Ensure customer expectations are met and proper procedures are followed. Understand and further develop detailed business requirements based on system knowledge. Assist in building test scripts to test new or existing features. Apply testing techniques to ensure solutions reach production with zero or minimal defects. Familiarity with, or ability to learn, Azure DevOps (ADO), SQL, Visio, Word, and Excel. Familiar with Agile/Scrum development process. Other duties as assigned. Strong willingness and curiosity to learn about DOR and its operations. Good verbal communication skills between peers, management, and stakeholders. Ability to produce written communication that is concise and accurate, with context tailored to the audience. Ability to facilitate meetings and ask the right questions to elicit requirements. Active listening and ability to understand what is being said. Desire to build strong working relationships based on trust and a strong work ethic. Ability to follow up and follow through on commitments. Ability to come to a shared understanding of problems and analyze possible solutions. Knowledge of testing procedures and ability to plan, organize, and manage time. Qualifications
Authorization to work in the United States. The Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) will not sponsor applicants for work visas. Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position. Familiar with Agile/Scrum development process. Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant. Knowledge of testing procedures. Ability to listen and understand testing issues.
