As a Structures Technician, here is what you’ll be doing at the core, day to day.

Perform thorough inspection of aircraft structures, identifying and documenting any signs of damage or wear.

Comply with environmental health, safety policies, and procedures.

Execute sheet metal repairs and modifications on various structural components, including but not limited to the wing, fuselage, and tail sections.

Fabricate and/or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.

Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached.

Perform mechanical, electrical removals and installations as required.

Interpret and follow aircraft maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Assist with complex structural repairs on/off aircraft.

Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure accurate repairs and compliance with aviation regulations.

Inspect confined areas of airframe.

Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to aviation structural maintenance.

Here’s what is required to succeed as a Structures Technician.

Minimum of 1 year of structural sheet metal repair and modification experience or sustained similar experience.

Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) a plus.

3+ years of experience preferred.

Completed Sheetmetal A/C Tech school or equivalent schooling is preferred.

FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) License is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Knowledge of aircraft structures and materials.

Able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.

Possess (basic) set of tools.

Ability to effectively communicate aircraft maintenance actions both verbally and in writing.

Must be comfortable with shift work; we are a 24/7 operation with 12-hour shifts which include days, nights, and weekends.

Comfortable working with technology / entering aircraft maintenance actions into a computer-based system.

Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if applicable.
