Key Responsibilities
Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
Generate and manage purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
Monitor supplier performance, quality, and adherence to contracts.
Collaborate with production and planning to optimize inventory levels.
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
Resolve issues related to supplier performance, quality discrepancies, or delivery delays.
Recommended Qualifications
2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for purchasing and inventory management.
Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, or engineering drawings.
Solid understanding of supply chain principles and inventory control practices.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with specific ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
Professional certification (e.g., ISM CPSM, APICS CSCP)
Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
Experience in international sourcing and logistics
