The Paralegal will assist attorneys by providing support services including answering phones, document preparation and review; interviewing clients and witnesses; research, investigations, and fact checking; and trial preparation.

The position is on‑site. Paid time off, health insurance reimbursement, life insurance and 401k matching available. Salary range: $60,000–$65,000. Location: Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities

Assist with screening prospective clients and gathering intake information at new client meetings.

Responsible for opening cases for new clients and managing the case until final phase.

Manage firm calendar.

Effectively handle a family‑law case from initial retention through conclusion.

Drafting and preparing all required pleadings, correspondence, and other documents for family‑law cases, including dissolution of marriage; paternity; post‑judgment actions (modification, contempt, enforcement); domestic violence injunctions; relocations; and all other family‑law related pleadings.

Extensive preparation of financial affidavits, mandatory disclosures, and all other discovery requests and responses.

Trial preparation.

Preparation of family‑law calculations.

Coordinating hearings, conferences, mediations, depositions, and other proceedings.

Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy needed to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks.

Provide client communication experience from retention through conclusion of the case.

Reassure and calm clients while explaining the process to them.

Understand child support guidelines, and spousal support guidelines.

Consistently meet and exceed monthly billable targets.

Work independently.

Possess Notary Public designation.

Proficient knowledge of multiple systems – Word, Excel, Lawcus, RingCentral, Zoom, Apple computers, Windows computers.

Exceptional customer service mindset.

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently.

Client communication experience from retention through conclusion of the case.

Experience handling family‑law pleadings and documentation.

Knowledge of child support and spousal support guidelines.
