We are a thriving outpatient pain management practice seeking a fellowship‑trained, board‑certified physician to join our elite interventional pain management team in Augusta, GA.

Our board‑certified, fellowship‑trained medical staff focus on evidence‑based, minimally invasive procedures to treat pain. We provide a state‑of‑the‑art approach, utilizing the latest technology and advanced emerging techniques from epidural steroid injections to advanced radiofrequency ablations and spinal cord stimulation.

Job Summary The physician will perform comprehensive histories and physicals on adult patients, develop working diagnoses and treatment plans, and provide continuing outpatient care with in‑hospital call duties in some locations to patients with complex, acute and chronic health conditions. The role requires diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to manage acute and chronic painful conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct thorough medical histories and complete physical examinations, initiate laboratory and imaging studies, and develop working diagnoses and treatment plans.

Perform and interpret routine laboratory, radiologic, and diagnostic procedures to identify pathophysiologic processes.

Perform common interventional procedures such as epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, facet injections, radiofrequency ablations, joint injections, and spinal cord stimulation with appropriate image guidance.

Oversee the care of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants and provide guidance to all ancillary health professionals.

Educate patients regarding disease, treatments, medication side effects, and hazards.

Manage chronic medication management patients while following all State and Federal Compliance Guidelines.

Assist with record keeping, complete patient chart documentation, and transcribe lab data and routine correspondence.

Refer patients to other physicians as appropriate for consultation or for specialized health resources and treatment.

Participate in quality monitoring through review of records and treatment plans for patient outcomes on a periodic basis to assure quality care.

Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to excellent patient care.

Education, Experience, Skills and Certifications

MD or DO degree from a U.S.–approved institution with an accredited residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or Anesthesia.

Valid medical license in Georgia and Federal DEA license.

ABMS Board Certification or Eligibility in PM&R/Anesthesia and Pain Medicine required; fellowship training preferred.

Excellent skill in all common interventional pain management procedures without limitations.

Current ACLS and BLS licenses required; credentialed per facility policies and procedures.

Strong customer service, verbal and written communication skills.

Effective relationship building with providers, coworkers, reps and patients.

Proficiency with EMR systems (ECW preferred) and basic Microsoft Office.

Ability to manage time efficiently and provide high‑quality patient care.

Physical Demands Responsibilities include frequent sitting, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing interventional procedures requiring precise bilateral upper‑extremity motor function. Patients may be seen during evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.

Work Environment The position is performed in a moderate noise level environment with potential exposure to infectious agents, hazardous chemicals, needle sticks, blood, and body fluids.
