MANCON, LLC
Overview
The Parts Specialist will manage the customer’s internal parts identification numbering system and maintain all references in the point of sale system. The Parts Specialist will assist with inventory control, data entry in inventory systems, and may occasionally provide customer service to MaineDOT employees who need parts/equipment to perform their job, as well as drive a MANCON vehicle to pick up parts.
This is an hourly position.
Responsibilities Customer Service
Attention to detail
Review, familiarize with and adhere to MANCON’s SOPs and Safety Manual.
Meet and greet customers
Determine and create the MaineDOT Part Identification Number (MPIN) in customer's Fleet Focus M5 system and assign MPIN in the inventory system
Coordinate and assist with all MANCON locations to update and correct items numbers and MPIN in the inventory system and customer's Fleet Focus M5 system
Review and merge part numbers in customer's Fleet Focus M5 system
Ask appropriate questions to ensure correct MPINs are researched and provided
Answer questions regarding correct part number descriptions in inventory system and customer's Fleet Focus M5 system
Review supplied requisition forms to ensure they are properly completed (signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions and quantities)
Data Entry Requirements
Generate and review inventory reports in the inventory system and customer's Fleet Focus M5 system
Assist in entry of specific inventory information into inventory systemli
Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory system
Assist in entry of vendor receiving documents in the inventory system
Inventory Management Requirements
Assist in creating new item numbers while standardizing the MPINs in the inventory system and Fleet Focus M5 system
Assist in performing weekly inventory cycle counts
Assist in performing counts during Wall to Wall inventories
Other Requirements
Assist in any special projects
Provide 24 hour support at the MaineDOT location during emergencies
Travel to other regional locations as needed
Adhere to required procedures
Participate in the SCM continuing training program
Assist with Store Supervisor duties as assigned
Additional tasks and projects as needed or requested
Obtain and maintain a forklift certificate
Qualifications
1 year computer experience
24-hour availability
Valid Driver’s License with two years driving experience
1 year experience with auto or heavy duty truck parts
Preferred Qualifications
Inventory experience
Physical Requirements Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Essential Requirements Driving, Lifting, Reaching, Sitting, Standing, Stooping, Walking, Shoveling
Physical Requirements Other Work is mostly performed in storerooms and warehouses which may have uncontrolled temperatures and dirt/dust/damp conditions. Work is also performed in vehicles traveling to sites.
