Position Overview
Warehouse Associate (Permanent Full Time) – Facility at Ryder in Etna, Ohio. Hourly Pay: $17.00. Products: Consumer Goods & Products. Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred. Learn to operate powered industrial truck(s) (stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.), including maintenance such as battery change and troubleshooting common mechanical issues – intermediate level required. May be required to operate manual and/or automated equipment such as a packaging line – intermediate level preferred. Powered industrial truck certification required. Ability to read, perform basic mathematics, and comprehend safety, work instructions and policies in English. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Ability to input data into the WMS computer system(s) used. Work overtime as assigned. Ability to build and maintain relationships within all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to operate and self‑drive in a fast‑paced environment. Capable of multitasking, highly organized with excellent time‑management skills. Detail oriented with strong follow‑up practices. Responsibilities
Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials. Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers, ensure complete and accurate scanning, train dock employees on new procedures, secure the facility at shift end, investigate and resolve scanning and housekeeping issues, pick and pack duties, inspect for product or container damage. Perform tasks described in the location's policies, procedures and standards, including handling materials within associated logical transactions. Execute material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required. Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve warehouse operations and related business functions. Perform housekeeping duties for the assigned area. Perform other duties as assigned. Important Note
