Summary / Objective The employee is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the folder gluer machine, ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to established quality standards.

Essential Functions

Set up and operate folder and gluer equipment.

Correct and report any unsafe conditions.

Train apprentices and entry‑level members as needed.

Suggest ideas for company‑wide continuous improvement.

Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on glue and folder equipment.

Match samples to glue and fold pieces.

Glue and fold a variety of sizes and types of cartons.

Maintain quality and productivity.

Competencies

Ability to read and follow written job tickets and schedules; good math skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, coworkers, and customers.

Required Education and Experience

2–3 years of experience with a gluer and folder machine.

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience on a Bobst machine.

Work Environment The work environment is a fast‑paced production environment. Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate to loud noise.

Physical Demands Stand for the full shift; use hands to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; occasionally climb stairs. May lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work Full‑time position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on business necessity.
