SCHEDULER
The Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining schedules at all project levels, including proposals, preconstruction, and detailed construction phases.
Responsibilities:
Manage and control all scheduling data using project management software (Primavera P6).
Define and document project scope, guidelines, and resource coordination to execute the project schedule.
Identify critical paths to meet project deadlines, adjust them as needed, and collaborate with project leadership to address obstacles.
Participate in logistical, delivery, and workforce planning, incorporating these into CPM schedules.
Account for code compliance and permitting issues within project schedules.
Supervise entry-level employees handling scheduling-related administrative tasks.
Establish and implement procedures for schedule updates.
Prepare monthly schedule updates, including narratives and custom reports.
Maintain accurate project scheduling files in compliance with regional requirements.
Interpret owner/contractor contracts to determine project control deliverables.
Engage in the Customer Expectations Process to align project controls with client needs.
Make recommendations regarding schedule-related project changes and contractual requirements for schedule and delay notifications.
Coordinate efforts with team members and follow up to support project requirements.
Monitor and identify issues requiring resolution and communicate them appropriately.
Maintain organized document filing and retrieval systems, both physical and electronic.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Services, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in project engineering or scheduling for construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and additions.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Competencies:
Experience in developing logical work sequences, contract durations, and phasing.
Proficiency in Primavera/Expedition software.
Experience analyzing claims, time extensions, and cost impacts.
Experience with new construction and renovation projects.
