What You'll Do / Responsibilities
Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return.
Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitor established quality assurance standards.
Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.

Minimum Position Qualifications
Ability to handle stressful situations
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)
Current food handlers permit once employed
Desired Previous Job Experience
Comparable Retail experience
Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing)

Promote corporate brands to customers

Assist with the preparation of produce platters/trays
Inform customers of produce specials and respond to product questions
Recommend items to ensure customers get the products they want
Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise
Review/inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action
Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads
Ensure proper temperatures and maintain temperature logs
Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions
Practice preventive maintenance and notify management of repairs
Notify management of accidents or safety risks
Report safety risks or illegal activity to store management
Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Ability to manage conflict constructively
Honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults
