Overview
General Production / Machine Operator 2nd Shift at Johnsonville. Position is in Countryside. Pay Range: $23.77/hr - $24.26/hr plus $0.60/hr upon backup result block completion and $1.50 shift premium. Hours: 1:30pm – 10:00pm, Monday–Friday (overtime as production demands). Responsibilities
Manufacture “great tasting” sausage products that are enjoyed by millions of people around the world Work with a team to obtain World Class results in safety, member development, and other efficiencies Work with state-of-the-art technology Participate in daily TAILGATE meetings and project teams to help Johnsonville be the Best Company in the World Enhance skill level and career development Set goals and objectives, both personal and as a Team Member, to achieve "+superlative" performance in support of The Johnsonville Way Skills / Qualifications
Take ownership for your own personal safety and the safety of all Members working around you Demonstrated Johnsonville Way behaviors Ability to read and understand a production schedule Ability to lead other Members and work without direct supervision Basic mechanical aptitude Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds Ability to learn and grow to operate a machine in a back-up capacity Ability to document job responsibilities and participate in writing and maintaining DPS programs for new equipment Excellent attendance and performance record Willingness to learn and share knowledge with others Ability to work on other production lines/rooms within the facility when this line is not running Willingness to learn sanitation responsibilities Ability to work in a machine operator back-up role in addition to the primary role of Trayer/Packer Ability to use and troubleshoot basic SAP functions on a hand-held scanner and on the computer Other Requirements
