Roles and Responsibilities
Complete general building repairs and preventative maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, changing HVAC filters, repairing broken locks, door hardware, damage to walls, exit and emergency lighting, etc.
Assist in coordinating office moves, relocating the office furniture, and setting up office furniture for employees.
Maintain grounds, including yard upkeep, shrubbery, trimming, mowing lawn, and snow removal.
Perform necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal.
Test the functionality of the facility’s safety systems.
Collaborate with a team of workers and other professionals during renovations.
Inspect building facilities to identify building maintenance needs; recommend, prioritize, and perform corrective maintenance as required. If needed assist in coordinating other professionals to perform building maintenance needs.
Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed.
Miscellaneous errands and tasks as assigned by manager.
Travel to regional offices as needed.
Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position.
Basic working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as assigned.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).
Material Handling: Lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs., frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places.
