Overview Join the El Super Store Operations Team as a Meat Clerk. Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. Responsibilities include cleaning shelves, filling and rotating Meat Wrap displays, taking special customer orders, and working with the Meat Cutter to determine cuts needed.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service and maintain cleanliness of meat displays.
Clean shelves, display cases and rotate meat wraps.
Take special customer orders and coordinate with the Meat Cutter to cut items.
Lift, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 60 lbs.).
Work in a fast‑paced grocery store environment and follow safety protocols.
Qualifications
Read and comprehend simple product instructions, labels, pricing codes and shelf tags.
Write simple correspondence.
Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group customer situations.
Perform detailed instructions with common sense.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.; frequently up to 45 lbs.; occasionally up to 60 lbs.
Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra).
Retail Management Certificate (extra).
Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required.
