Aircraft Maintenance Technician

NICHOLAS AIR is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our Nashville, Tennessee team. This role ensures the airworthiness and safety of our aircraft, supporting our FAR 135 operation and keeping our fleet mission‑ready.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.

Diagnose electrical, airframe, and powerplant systems to maintain optimal aircraft performance and minimize downtime.

Collaborate with OEM vendors and contract maintenance organizations to ensure work meets NICHOLAS AIR and FAA standards.

Use electronic manuals to navigate technical data efficiently.

Work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment with a flexible schedule that may include overtime and after‑hours work.

Coordinate with the parts department to order parts promptly and determine warranty coverage.

Requirements

FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.

Minimum 3–5 years of corporate aviation experience or 2 years maintaining airframes in a fleet.

Experience working in a FAR 135 operation.

Experience with CAMP and Corridor is a plus.

Skills

Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Independent work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot using FIMs and SmartFix.

Ability to read and interpret airworthiness directives, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer maintenance manuals.

Performance in a fast‑paced, fluid environment.

Clear and concise maintenance record entries and turnovers.

Effective communication via email, in‑person, or telephone.

Implementation of NICHOLAS AIR GMM and GOM requirements and procedures.
