Stratas Foods LLC is a leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients and Retail Private Label markets in North America. Our Nashville Food Processing and Packaging Plant is part of a network of locations employing over 100 people and growing. We are currently hiring for Food Processing Mixers in the Nashville area. Job Title: Food Processing Mixer (Nashville, TN) Responsibilities
Follow mix instructions and provide clear, concise documentation of production work. Perform general housekeeping, rework, prepare packaging, package product, and other duties as assigned by supervision. Operate and tend machines to mix or blend a wide variety of food products such as edible oils, dressings, margarines, spreads, shortenings, cooking wines, vinegars, etc. Monitor gauges, flow meters, thermometers, and recording instruments to adjust raw materials, temperatures, and speeds to maintain product quality and safe operation. Operate CIP skids and assist with breakdown and cleaning of line components. Handle chemical procedures including required PPE and ensure safe handling. Record product movements and batch information on appropriate documents. Lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights as required. Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED Relevant experience: 0-2 years in mixing machine operation, blending, food manufacturing or related fields Basic understanding of food manufacturing automation processes, including recipe construction/adjustment, process flow, and variation in salt content, moisture, and color Ability to operate and tend machines to mix or blend food products and monitor process equipment Ability to fill out appropriate documentation for product movements and ingredients Willingness to work bid shift, overtime, and weekends as required Must be able to work overtime when needed Details
Rate: $20 per hour Shift: 1st and 2nd shifts; weekends and overtime as needed Must consent to background screening, physical, drug screening and lift test Benefits
