Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

The Maintenance Technician I is required to perform equipment maintenance on machines with Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems. Some fabrication and welding are also required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of a Lead/Supervisor perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, installations and repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment/systems and/or routine maintenance duties on the facility, building grounds, equipment and machinery at the site
Use standard and special maintenance/repair tools including, but not limited to hand tools, saws, drills, cutting devices, grinding tools, measuring devices, etc.
Work with an attitude toward continuous improvement with a team approach to problem-solving and decision making.
Prioritize and assign jobs, monitor variances.
Ensure that appropriate records, instructions and prints are maintained.
Perform duties a safe manner at all times.
Follow policies and procedures including manufacturer’s instructions and related regulations (EHS, Hazcom, LOTO, electrical/mechanical safety, etc.)
Perform Machine Maintenance
Perform Plant and operations maintenance
Operating Procedures and/or work instructions. Is responsible for the quality of own work
Follows schedules, procedures and 6S housekeeping practices
Be goal-oriented toward manufacturing cost and work center efficiency
Offers ideas, suggestions, and improvement concepts for improving the utilization and productivity of the Maintenance Department
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring devices.
Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial automation (advanced skills are a plus).
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one (1) year of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Technical certification
