Entry-Level Maintenance Technician / Facilities Support Grand Junction & Fruita, CO (Travel between locations required)

Walker Products is seeking a reliable, entry-level Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day facility upkeep at our Grand Junction and Fruita locations. This role focuses on basic maintenance, light repairs, and janitorial duties to help maintain a clean, safe, and functional work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build skills in facilities or maintenance with a stable employer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform basic building maintenance tasks (minor repairs, adjustments, light troubleshooting)

Complete routine janitorial duties including:

Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming

Trash and recycling removal

Restroom and breakroom cleaning

Assist with simple repairs such as:

Replacing light bulbs

Hanging signage or fixtures

Basic painting or touch-ups

Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance issues

Assist with moving furniture, equipment, or supplies as needed

Support general facility organization and cleanliness

Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times

Travel between Grand Junction and Fruita facilities as required

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred

Previous maintenance or janitorial experience a plus, but

not required

Basic hand-tool knowledge or willingness to learn

Ability to follow instructions and work independentlyDependable attendance and strong work ethic

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the workday

Work Environment

Manufacturing and office environments

Indoor and occasional outdoor tasks

Exposure to cleaning chemicals and light mechanical equipment
