Job Purpose The Milk Receiver is responsible for completing all required documents, testing, ensuring regulatory and quality standards compliance, receiving, separating, filtering, sanitizing, and performing basic preventive maintenance of equipment.
Responsibilities
Follow all safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and workplace rules.
Work safely in an efficient manner on equipment and follow all safety procedures.
Troubleshoot problems, perform minor repairs with correct tools, perform preventive maintenance, and report malfunctions.
Monitor equipment using visual observation and mechanical sound.
Clean equipment and surrounding areas to maintain audit-ready condition during production.
Comply with handling and usage of color-coded container policy.
Continuously monitor all regulatory records, quality checks, and process checks.
Aid in training new personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills / Qualifications Required
18 years or older.
Pass drug test and background check.
High School diploma or GED required.
Basic computational skills: simple math and reasoning.
Team-oriented and self-directed.
Experience with high speed production lines (fast-paced environment).
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Sitting/Standing/Walking/Lifting: lifts up to 60 lbs frequently, 80 lbs occasionally. Two or more employees for >80 lbs.
Pushing/Pulling/Bending/Stooping: during cleanup duties.
Squatting/Kneeling/Crawling/Twisting/Turning: occasional light twisting at waist.
Climbing/Balancing/Reaching: steps, ladders, and platforms to access equipment.
Grasping/Manipulation: frequent use of hands and fingers.
Food Safety Requirements
Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that may affect product quality or food safety.
Comply with color-coded container policy in production areas.
Perform duties necessary to meet Company, Customer, and/ or Government requirements.
Initiate action to prevent nonconformities related to Food Safety and quality.
Identify and record problems related to food safety and quality.
Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until resolved.
In absence, another employee with same skill assumes duties.
