Maintenance Technician III (Houston, TX)
Siemens Logistics LLC is seeking experienced mechanical and controls technicians to support our team at the Houston, Texas International Airport location. This position, Maintenance Technician Level III, requires substantial experience and knowledge in the outlined responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) and associated components.
Provide accurate and timely written reports of safety, operational, and maintenance activities.
Interpret data and suggest maintenance schedule/activity adjustments to the Manager.
Update daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activity schedules.
Order and maintain a stock of spare parts necessary for proper servicing of the BHS.
Ensure all Preventative and Predictive Maintenance practices and procedures are scheduled and followed.
Physical requirements
include, but are not limited to: Lifting (50–100 pounds), bending, reaching, climbing, walking, crawling, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, speaking, sight, and/or hearing to complete the job duties.
Required Skills / Education
Five+ years of experience.
HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Electro‑Electronics / Mechanical skills.
Excellent customer relations skills.
Adherence to all safety regulations and safe work practices.
Mechanical troubleshooting skills (belts, bearings, pulleys, drives, gearmotors).
Industrial electrical troubleshooting skills (480V three‑phase motor and control circuits, electrical schematic print reading, variable frequency drives, motor starters, input/output systems).
Working knowledge of PLC systems and operations (preferred).
Familiarity with high‑level control systems, SCADA, network architecture (servers, Ethernet, fiber optic, switches, workstations, barcode scanning systems).
Maintenance management software skills (generating and completing preventive and corrective maintenance, scheduling maintenance, tracking inventory).
Basic management and supervisory skills (organization, communications, scheduling, computers).
Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings per airport requirements.
