Overview
A client of Insight Global that is a leader in the activated carbon industry, headquartered in Moon Township, PA, is expanding their team and hiring a Maintenance Technician in the Crosby, Texas area. The Maintenance Technician will repair, install, fabricate, and maintain plant equipment and facilities in compliance with national, state, and local codes and industry best practices. Coordinate and schedule maintenance work requests and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) activities; maintain maintenance records, equipment files, and spare-parts inventories; assist with plant improvements; and coordinate activities of outside vendors on plant premises.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute maintenance work orders (corrective, projects, outages) in SAP/CMMS; maintain audit-ready documentation
Repair, install, alter, and maintain plant equipment and facilities in accordance with codes and industry best practices
Develop and implement Preventive/Predictive Maintenance routines; update equipment files/manuals and the plant directory
Coordinate outside contractors/vendors on site; ensure compliance with CCC safety policies and support bidding/process steps when needed
Maintain housekeeping standards in the maintenance/shop and repair areas; participate in housekeeping audits
Manage spare parts selection, inventory levels, and ordering/procurement to reduce downtime
Calibrate, align, and commission equipment replacements and upgrades
Assist with improvement evaluations, process/equipment modifications, and support capital project activities
Engage vendors/equipment manufacturers to obtain technical information for repairs and reliability improvements
Participate in safety meetings; support training on LOTO and confined space procedures; uphold OSHA/JSPs and site safety expectations
Required Qualifications
2–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing/plant environment (5+ years preferred)
Proficiency with SAP or similar CMMS for work order management, PM/PdM scheduling, and accurate record-keeping
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills; ability to perform basic electrical diagnostics safely
Experience coordinating outside vendors/contractors with strict adherence to safety policies and procedures
Spare parts inventory control and procurement experience, comfortable with Excel for daily tracking and reporting
Willingness to provide on-call and after-hours support as needed to minimize downtime
Preferred Qualifications (Not Requirements)
Experience with calibration, alignment, and commissioning of equipment replacements
Exposure to capital project support (planning/execution)
Developing or enhancing Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs
Formal OSHA/LOTO/confined space training certifications
