Client Services Assistant
ARUP Laboratories is a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory and an enterprise of the University of Utah and its Department of Pathology, based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Schedule Monday – Friday (40 hrs/wk). Work hours: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM (MST).
Training Schedule (approx. 3 weeks) Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (MST).
Department Client Services – 234.
General Function Assists Client Services Representatives and Solution Specialists to ensure client inquiries are addressed and client results are communicated efficiently.

Essential Functions
Monitor and call flagged patient results to clients as needed.
Communicate routine results appropriately based on client requests.
Continuously monitor work queues for outbound requests.
Monitor, investigate, and complete pending lists as needed.
Assist with various data entry tasks as needed.
Exercise careful deliberation and judgment to best serve the patient, customer, and ARUP.
Maintain high quality performance through accuracy and timely commitment.
Promote information management through case ownership, prioritization, documentation, and follow‑through for customer satisfaction.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical And Other Requirements
Stooping: Bending downward and forward at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: Occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.
PPE: Use personal protective equipment in a biohazard laboratory environment per CDC, OSHA regulations and company policies.
ARUP Policies and Procedures: Conduct self in compliance with ARUP Policies and Procedures.
Sedentary Work: Exert up to 10 lb of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing, or working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand.
Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent or better in General Studies or related field.
Experience : Ability to type 35 WPM and 10 key skills; basic computer skills including internet proficiency and ability to effectively navigate computer and phone systems.
Remote workers only:
Internet download speed of 75 Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps or ability to obtain prior to start date.
