Job ID: 40838 | Location: Louisville, Kentucky, USA Clariant currently has multiple openings for a Level 5 Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our skilled team at the PPCAT Plant in Louisville, KY. This senior-level role requires a minimum of six years of industrial maintenance experience and advanced expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure safe, reliable operation of heavy production equipment with minimal downtime. Technicians independently troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while serving as a technical resource to the team. The position follows a Monday-Friday rotating schedule, including 1st Shift (6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.), 2nd Shift (3:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.), and 3rd Shift (6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.). Clariant offers competitive hourly pay, a performance-based increase after six months, paid time off, and a $2,000 sign-on bonus after four months. Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with local legal regulations and Clariant safety and environmental policies

Participate in risk analysis and implement action items to enhance plant safety

Perform preventive maintenance to optimize equipment reliability and support continuous improvement initiatives

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, ensuring all assets meet quality standards

Support technical plant documentation and ensure compliance with Management of Change (MOC) processes

Attend daily performance meetings and collaborate with production operators to drive efficiency

Ensure all job-related qualifications and safety training are up to date

Execute maintenance tasks efficiently, maintaining a balance between time, quality, and cost

Complete SAMACO-related work orders, including Process Safety Management (PSM) and Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) tasks

Requirements

6+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in Chemical or Food Manufacturing

Ability to work any shift, including rotating schedules and weekends

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in high-demand industrial settings

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively
