1st Shift 9/80 work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off
Job Description Under general supervision, the Logistics Material Handler will perform manual and clerical tasks related to the receiving, movement, storage, disbursement, packaging, and shipping of sensitive materials, equipment, tooling, and supplies. This position will report to the AMF Logistics Manager.
Essential Functions
Record information regarding materials received and shipped in the department computer system.
Package and handle materials within company guidelines.
Cycle count activities – perform counts/recounts, research lost items, complete cycle count records.
Count and/or weigh incoming parts to verify receipt.
Ensure that all materials requiring inspection are moved to the proper locations.
Separate and move materials, equipment and supplies to and from stores, warehouses, Operations, and Test areas.
Unload trucks ensuring that all material and receiving paperwork is complete accurate and accounted for.
After inspection is completed, verifying that inspection stamps, signatures, quantities and acceptance tags or labels are accounted for.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Qualifications
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience with operating forklifts, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse functions; or 2 years post‑Secondary/Associate’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience with operating forklifts, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse functions.
Preferred Additional Skills
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to use information and reports to improve department processes, services, and efficiency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a plus.
Experience with Oracle/Maestro or similar Warehouse operating systems is desired.
The ability to work independently in a warehouse environment.
