Packaging Maintenance Technician (Primarily Swing Shift) Join National Frozen Foods as a Packaging Maintenance Technician on a primarily swing shift.

Position Description Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Shift and Compensation

Primarily Swing Shift – availability required for day and evening shifts, overtime (as requested), some holidays and weekends.

Pay: $27.90 - $31.05 per hour D.O.E.

Benefits: Permanent, full‑time position benefits include medical, dental, and vision on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Eligible for paid vacation, 10 paid holidays per calendar year, jury duty, bereavement leave, 401(k) + matching, life and long‑term disability insurance, employee assistance program, and paid sick leave accrual from the start of employment.

Responsibilities

Basic troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning equipment, estimate time for repairs, and perform repairs.

Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying receipts.

Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Use hand tools and power tools to make adjustments to equipment.

Communicate effectively and work with multiple departments across multiple facilities.

Maintain a high level of organization.

Willingness to work in a wet environment.

Comply with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Strength – frequent lifting/carrying up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Stand/Walk – stand and walk for a maximum of 3 hours before each break.

Climb/Balance – ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding; maintain balance on narrow/slippery surfaces.

Reach – extend both hands and arms in any direction.

Handle – seize, hold, grasp, turn or otherwise work with hands.

See – obtain impressions through vision.

Twist and Turn – twist/turn trunk from side to side.

Stoop – bend body downward and forward at waist.

Kneel – bend legs at knees to rest on knee(s).

Crouch – bend body downward and forward bending spine and legs.

Job Qualifications

GED or high school diploma.

Minimum two years of experience as a line mechanic.

Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Ability to work independently and as a team to meet deadlines.

Attention to detail, flexibility, and emphasis on efficiency.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attendance record.
