POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Clerk, under the direction of the Supply Lead, is responsible for participating in the daily activities of the Shipping and Receiving Department at Kewadin Casino locations, governmental facilities, or entities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(includes, but is not limited to, the following) Delivers verified products, stock, and supplies to the appropriate departments and storage areas. Completes all in and out-of-town deliveries, transfers, and pick-ups; proof of delivery may be required on non-stock items. Examines and inspects items for wear and defect and reports damage to the supervisor. Reconciles inbound and outbound paperwork, receivers, packing slips, etc., and completes corresponding paperwork for each delivery, including verification of purchase order numbers, quantities, descriptions, ship-to addresses, and pack sizes and reports errors to supervisor. Sorts, delivers and picks up all interoffice mail and packages going to and coming from outlying Tribal properties. Maintains records on products, stock, supplies, deliveries, etc. Processes product and stock requisitions utilizing computer software systems. Unloads and loads products, stock, supplies, and equipment to and from the Shipping and Receiving Department or other Tribal locations or warehouse sites. Moves, stores, and retrieves inventory record boxes. Performs inventory maintenance including organizing and rotating stock. Picks up tribal assets; stores and redistributes unwanted property or assets to and from Tribal locations. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
(includes, but is not limited to, the following) Responds to customers, vendors, and department inquiries. Researches inventory, delivery, proof of delivery, etc. Maintains work area by performing light janitorial work such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning spills. Position heavy with a maximum lifting of 100 pounds with a team or dual lifting and frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds. Physical factors include constant standing, walking, pushing/pulling, manual handling, use of hearing, bending; frequent lifting, reaching and driving, and sitting; occasional carrying, climbing, stooping, kneeling; use of smell; near/midrange/far vision, depth perception, color/field of vision and typing. Working conditions include frequent exposure to weather, extreme cold, noise, and air quality and occasional exposure to extreme heat, wet/humidity, vibration, and bright/dim lighting. Potential hazards include constant computer use; frequent exposure to chemicals and equipment; occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, and highly exposed places and equipment. REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience: None needed. Certification/License: Must undergo a criminal background investigation done under the rules of the National Indian Gaming Commission. Must be able to obtain a State of Michigan Chauffeur license if requested. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must comply with annual driver’s license review and insurability standards with the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must comply with the Sault Tribe’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy which may include random drug tests. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have working knowledge and ability to use word processing and spreadsheet and database software. Knowledge of JD Edwards and Eatec Accounting Software preferred. Must be able to work in a timely manner and enter data accurately. Must have working knowledge and ability to use office machines, such as calculator, copier, fax, and printer. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Must be able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisory personnel, coworkers, and the general public. Must be motivated and able to work with little to no supervision. Must be able to work under pressure and handle difficult situations. Must have problem solving skills. Must maintain confidentiality and privacy. Must be able to work various shifts: evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be willing to travel. Native American preferred. Sault Tribe
