Role Description Inspire Outdoor Living, Inc. is seeking an
On-Demand Permit Expeditor
to manage and coordinate the permitting process for residential and commercial construction, landscaping, hardscape, and retaining-wall projects across Chicagoland suburbs. This role is critical in ensuring projects move smoothly through local municipalities by preparing, submitting, tracking, and following up on permit applications while coordinating with village officials, engineers, designers, and internal project managers.
Qualifications
Experience as a
Permit Expeditor, Permit Coordinator, or similar role
preferred
Familiarity with municipal permitting processes in Illinois (especially Chicago suburbs)
Ability to read and understand site plans, surveys, and basic construction drawings
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable working with engineers, architects, village officials, and contractors
Proficient in email, PDF markups, spreadsheets, and document management
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
a plus
Preferred Experience
Construction, landscaping, hardscape, or civil engineering background
Experience with retaining walls, grading, drainage, fencing, decks, or patios
Knowledge of zoning, engineering review, and inspection workflows
Pay Competitive, based on experience.
