Assistant Manager – Retail Convenience Store

We are seeking high‑energy, dependable assistant managers to keep our convenience store running smoothly across all shifts, especially weekends, holidays, and mainly second or third shifts. You will play a vital role in customer service, team leadership, inventory management, and daily operations.
Responsibilities
Support the Store Manager in day‑to‑day operations.
Operate the register and serve customers with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
Coach, motivate, and upsell team members.
Assist with hiring, training, and leading a high‑performing team.
Act as the interim manager when the Store Manager is absent.
Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to maintain full stock.
Maintain a clean, welcoming store environment including restrooms and fuel pumps.
Create and manage team schedules to ensure coverage.
Process cash handling, deposits, and oversee financials.
Provide constructive feedback and support to the team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Open availability for weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Physical readiness: able to perform store cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Minimum age 18+ in AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, CO; 21+ in all other states.
Proficient in English and basic math skills.
Willing to learn with Topshelf Manager Training required in Tennessee.
Passes pre‑employment screenings: drug test and background check.
