Grain Elevator Operator - 2nd Shift
Location: St. Joseph, MO.
Shift: 2nd shift, 2:45pm-11:15pm, Monday–Friday with ample overtime, including weekends.
Compensation: $23/hr and up.
Equipment used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs.
Materials handled: Bulk commodities such as wheat, corn, soybeans, etc.
Responsibilities The duties of this hands‑on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross‑trained to perform a variety of tasks.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Reliable transportation
Must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English for safety reasons
Available to work overtime and weekends
Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
Able to pass a criminal background check
Physical Requirements
Job can be physically strenuous
Expected to work in tight and confined spaces
Will work at heights
Must lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
Must ascend/descend ladders
Required to wear PPE
