Position Summary The Chemical Loading Operators work on a rotating shift team and performs all aspects of safely transferring liquid bulk chemical products to and from trucks, and rail.
Summary of the Main Responsibilities
Adhere to standard work and standard operating procedures to ensure unit safety, quality and production goals are met
Responsible for safely operating heavy equipment
The ability to handle and work with highly hazardous chemical intermediates
Ability to wear and work in full body PPE (personal protective equipment) which includes acid suit (acid jacket & acid pants) – full face respirator and hood
Ability to handle changing plant priorities and site needs
Ability to load and unload bulk liquid chemical trucks and rail cars
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer skills
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, and/or chemical plant environment preferred
Additional Qualifications
Chemical and/or Industrial work environment experience
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to operate a fork truck
Ability to perform the physical labor associated with the job
Possess a strong work ethic and initiative to learn new processes
Ability to work at elevated heights - greater than 50 feet
Ability to work in confined spaces
Demonstrated ability to deliver a safe workspace based on following standard work
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action within an industrial setting
Advanced troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate through multiple layers of an organization
The hourly rate for this position is $19.92. We offer a range of market‑competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Hired applicants will be eligible for paid holidays, paid time off including vacation, eligibility to purchase company stock, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with a competitive company match. Certain roles may be eligible for discretionary financial benefits such as incentive pay, equity awards, and participation in a deferred compensation plan.
