Job Summary and Responsibilities Dignity Health Medical Group
is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team. This role offers the exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care to our diverse patient population within our established clinic setting.
Opportunity Highlights
Flexibility to work 4 longer days or 5 regular
After-hours Outpatient Call (by telephone only) is minimal (3-4 weeks/year)
Outpatient: 36 patient‑facing hours/week with scheduled patients and 4 hours per week dedicated administrative time to take care of the "tail" of practice and engage in teaching, quality improvement, and service-related activities.
Avg 18-24 patients per day on 8‑hour outpatient days
Great MA support + RN onsite
Opportunities to get involved in both sponsor and investigator initiated research projects
In collaboration with the physician/medical director, the APP assumes clinical responsibility for tasks performed within the APP's scope of practice.
Including but not limited to: taking patients' history, performing physical examinations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnosis and providing care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention in the pediatric and adult patient.
The APP may assist in the admission, transfer or discharge from the Health Care System.
Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies.
Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.
Participates in teaching students (Physician Assistant Studies, Nurse Practitioner students, Medical Students as applicable) when caring for patients.
Participates in research, scholarly activity, and clinical innovation within scope of practice.
Works within a multidisciplinary team to develop plans for the patient and their family.
Job Requirements Qualifications
Current and unrestricted licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Arizona.
Current national board certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA).
BLS certification required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Family Medicine or Primary Care.
Demonstrate experience or strong interest in telehealth/virtual care delivery.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems; experience with Cerner is a plus.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Tech‑savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Comfortable working with patients virtually and assessing conditions without a direct physical examination when appropriate.
