Job Description Summary This role plays a critical part in the overall success of the farm operations within the vaccination crew. The crew has primary responsibilities for the animal care and welfare of the birds.
Job Description
Work with day‑old chicks – collect birds for moving, weigh them, and vaccinate.
Handle live animals and the associated environment.
Collect blood samples, band/tag or remove tags from birds.
Follow Animal Care Standards, Animal Welfare Guidelines, and Bio‑Security policies and procedures.
Handle chemicals such as detergents and disinfectants.
Perform essential duties safely and efficiently as trained.
Work up to 6 days a week, including weekends and holidays.
Job Qualifications
Ability to understand oral and written instructions and perform simple tasks.
Perform repetitive work.
Stand for long periods of time.
Grip, grasp, or twist using hands and wrist.
Lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg).
Bend and stoop throughout the shift.
Animal husbandry experience preferred but not required.
