Base pay range $30.00/hr - $48.00/hr
Job Overview The Mobile Service Technician is responsible for providing on‑site maintenance and repair services for heavy‑duty trucks and trailers. This role requires a self‑motivated, safety‑conscious individual who can work independently while delivering professional and timely service to our customers in the field. The Mobile Technician acts as a brand ambassador, ensuring customer satisfaction by providing expert diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and perform repairs on a variety of systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, electrical, and aftertreatment systems (DEF/DPF).
Operate a fully equipped service truck and travel to customer sites to complete service calls, emergency repairs, and scheduled maintenance.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding needed repairs, estimated time of completion, and maintenance recommendations.
Accurately complete all required documentation including service work orders, inspection reports, and parts requisitions.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized mobile service truck and adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Use OEM diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues and perform calibrations or software updates.
Collaborate with the dealership's service and parts departments to coordinate parts availability and ensure efficient job completion.

Participate in ongoing technical training and stay current with manufacturer updates, recalls, and service bulletins.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or OEM certifications preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in diesel or heavy‑duty truck repair (mobile service experience a plus).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Working Conditions
This is a mobile field position. Technicians must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and may be required to respond to emergency breakdowns.
