Responsible for installing pre-fabricated fireplace products into homes, commercial sites, etc.
Job Responsibilities
Install pre-fabricated electric, gas and woodburning fireplaces (may be retrofitting an existing fireplace or adding a fireplace to an existing or new home). Installing metal venting pipes through a roof or attic to manufacturer’s specifications. Penetrate drywall/side walls for installation. Occasionally providing basic service on previously installed fireplaces. Safely drive to various jobsites throughout the day. Able to read and follow technical information and specifications provided by the manufacturer regarding proper installation. Understand and work with the building materials and construction of a home. Must know and meet specific building codes. Effectively communicating with customers and team members. Use multiple power and hand tools proficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work truck and job site. Work with gas lines and understand electrical at a basic level. Safely move and install fireplaces over 100 lbs. Skills & Abilities
Comfortable with heights (working on a ladder and roof). Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. Mechanically inclined. Must work well independently as well as with fellow team members. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Must be able to climb ladders and work on the roof. Frequently required to stand for long periods of time throughout the day (up to 8 hours). The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk. Required to maintain a valid driver’s license (to drive a company truck). Education & Training
