Job Description
Within the Power Solutions division in Farmington Hills, MI, BOSCH is improving the quality of life by leveraging our technology leadership and manufacturing scale to accelerate the clean energy transformation globally.
As an entry level technician in the powertrain testing labs, the ideal candidate would be part of a global team investigating all products in the Power Solutions & Electrified Motion portfolio’s within the North American Market.
Responsibilities
Focus on preparation and maintenance of testing equipment and vehicle/engine prep for test
Troubleshoot test equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and digital systems
Aptitude and interest in artificial intelligence, digitalization and computer automation topics
Engine / vehicle repair and modification work
Electrical and mechanical schematic interpretation
Wire harness creation and modification
Execute tests for gasoline, diesel, fuel cell, and electrified powertrain components
Proactively seek out new challenges, opportunities, and implement process improvements.
Work well in teams, take direction from others, and contribute ideas/solutions
Usage of MS products (Outlook, excel, word)
Technology Domains
Gasoline, diesel, and hydrogen engines, as well as electrified powertrains and fuel cell components
Engine and Chassis Dynamometer
Advanced engine development, repair, and instrumentation
Engine Emissions
Gasoline and diesel fuel systems, as well as hydrogen injection equipment
Fuel Cell components & systems
Electrified Motion products (eMotors, inverters, converters, etc.)

Who are good communicators; able to understand complex engineering processes, while communicating in simple terms in verbal, written, and visual forms
Who are driven and high-functioning in ambiguous environments, defining the path forward rather than following well-defined methods and past project paths.
That have a team-oriented, self-directed personality and strong inter-personal and organizational skills
Who are willing to learn via various methods, including external courses, internal seminars, and self-driven means
Who are self-driven, motivated and can work independently in complex situations without continuous supervision or guidance
Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Technical/vocational training or 2 years of experience in automotive field, including experience in the research & development domains.
Strong mechanical skill set.
Good communication, responsible and accurate.
Knowledge of computer data processing (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
Positive attitude and always seek improvement opportunities.
Preferred
Coding experience.
Experience with advanced usage of AI.
Experience with computer automation.
Advanced usage of excel (i.e. pivot tables, vlookup, etc.).
