be nice? Come join the MAT Industries Inc. team and work for a growing, AIR CONDITIONED manufacturing company. Our welder positions start at $21.85/hour and higher based on experience, plus an additional $2.50/hour shift differential. The 2nd SHIFT runs Monday–Thursday 3:30 pm to 2:00 am. Overtime is available on Fridays.

Responsibilities

Welding in a fast paced assembly style environment.

MIG welding multiple attachments – from 12 gauge to .179” brackets and tubing.

Pass ASME certification, including 6" vertical down weld with full penetration on .094 material with a gap of .052”. Welds must be to code and cosmetically acceptable. Follow all safety regulations.

Follow all company policies and procedures and encourage co‑workers to do the same.

Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.

Use gas metal arc welding, flux‑cored arc welding.

Assemble and MIG weld parts according to blueprints, drawings, and verbal instruction.

Conduct quality inspections of work.

Maintain equipment in good working condition and report maintenance and safety concerns.

Perform repairs, modifications and retrofits on production items.

Provide data to assist in monitoring and tracking project status.

Assist in training junior employees and inspecting their work.

Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.

Sign off on completed work orders and quality of work.

Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques.

Actively participate in development of a LEAN manufacturing culture.

May perform various duties that do not always require hand welding. Assignments may include operating welding and non‑welding equipment to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Relevant experience in MIG welding and ability to pass an on‑site MIG weld test.

Ability to work as scheduled.
