is an authorized dealer of new and used Bobcat compact construction equipment, including skid steers, track loaders, compact excavators, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and more. We provide service both in the field and in our facility.
White Star Machinery is looking to add a Diesel Mechanic. This role will provide quality repair services on Bobcat equipment to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner. Responsibilities include performing diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and/or dealer-owned construction equipment, identifying problems in mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems, and executing effective solutions.
Responsibilities
Provide quality repair services on construction equipment to meet customer needs.
Perform basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned construction equipment.
Identify problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems and execute solutions.
Participate in Service Training programs for skill and knowledge development.
Document all repairs and testing for customer and warranty repairs.
Perform any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor or management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Graduation from a 2‑year technical school is preferred.
1‑year fleet or dealership experience in a diesel shop is required; 3‑5 years preferred.
Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team.
Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate assigned repairs.
Heavy equipment and/or agricultural experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull 50‑100 pounds; frequently lift, carry, push, or pull 20‑50 pounds; continuously lift, carry, push or pull 10‑20 pounds.
Regularly stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects; occasionally sit, climb, balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl.
Consistently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
