This position is fully on‑site, and may be located in either Bremen, OH, Tulsa, OK, or Casper, WY. Relocation assistance is not provided.

SUMMARY Westerman is looking for a full‑time Drafter responsible for initiating and developing project mechanical and electrical drawing packages for oil and gas processing and production equipment from conception through project completion based on customer specifications and purchase order requirements. All designs will be accomplished in 3D CAD. All mechanical fabrication drawings are direct extracts from the 3D model with minimal 2D manipulation of the finished drawings. The core responsibilities of this position are P&ID drafting, 3D model completion, General Arrangement drawing completion, and completion of 2D mechanical fabrication drawings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create 3D models, General Arrangement drawings, and associated mechanical fabrication drawings.

Perform peer drawing checks for accuracy and compliance.

Miscellaneous 2D drafting work.

Prepare 3D model mechanical BOMs for review and approval by Engineering.

Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Associate's Degree – Mechanical or Electrical discipline or equivalent training/experience.

Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Ability to read and comprehend P&IDs.

Proficiency with MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Ability to work under pressure in a schedule‑driven manufacturing environment with multiple, simultaneous deadlines.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of packaged equipment designs, piping design, technical requirements, applicable codes and standards.

Strong communication skills.

Critical thinking, complex problem solving, troubleshooting and judgment.

Teamwork and strong inductive and deductive reasoning.

Ability to quickly and accurately analyze data, form accurate conclusions and establish corrective action.

Knowledge of ASME pressure vessel code calculation reports.

Experience with parametric relationships between intelligent electrical and controls schematics, layouts, and diagrams and 3D CAD models.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time and work on a computer.

May be required to lift up to 15 pounds in an office setting.

Must be able to sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and bend.

Must be able to see, speak, hear, and read.

Must use fingers and hands to manipulate/utilize office machines.

Must be able to walk over both even and uneven surfaces.

May require close vision, depth perception, the ability to see small detail, and the ability to adjust focus.
