Prepare work sites to locate utilities and eliminate hazards. Signal operators to facilitate movement or alignment of equipment. Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools. Configure pipe routes. Assemble gas piping and equipment. Follow safety standards throughout the process, including digging trenches, sliding pipe into trenches, grading trenches, and sealing joints. Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels. Cover pipes or cable with dirt or other material. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School Diploma/Equivalent Valid Driver's License; Class A CDL preferred Must be willing to travel Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, or walk for long periods Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds regularly Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred Education in Gas and Utilities Construction preferred About InterCon Construction
