Member Experience Representatives (MERs) or Tellers build relationships and cultivate financial wellness by recommending appropriate products and services to help members save, manage, and grow their money while improving convenience and peace of mind.
Responsibilities
Provide extraordinary member service by being knowledgeable, engaging, and consistently applying defined service standards.
Listen actively to understand and answer Members’ questions and concerns, offering guidance on appropriate products and services.
Proactively identify and refer qualified opportunities that help Members make money, save money, save time, and add convenience.
Accurately process transactions in accordance with MER responsibilities—including cashing checks, receiving deposits and payments, processing withdrawals, handling credit card advances, and handling night depository transactions.
Review all activities for compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations (Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, OFAC). Participate in required annual BSA/OFAC compliance training.
Balance assigned cash drawer during and at the end of each work day.
Perform miscellaneous duties such as end‑of‑day activities, filing, answering phones, and maintaining supplies.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous financial industry experience preferred.
Ability to learn and apply a variety of software applications.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Prior experience in a retail service environment, including cash handling and member service, preferred.
