Part‑time Retail Associate – 351 San Francisco
Location: 350 Seventh Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94118. Store: Smart & Final (Chedraui USA).
Starting rate: $19.25 per hour. Part‑time position.
About the Store Smart & Final is a 150‑year‑old warehouse‑style grocery store offering fresh produce, quality meats and over 3,000 club‑size items without a membership fee. As part of Chedraui USA, we give back to the community through the Smart & Final Charitable Foundation.
What You’ll Do
Maintain assigned store section and stock merchandise using proper equipment.
Ensure proper pricing, check product date codes, manage rotation, and stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, and refrigerated/frozen cases.
Prepare perishable products for sale.
Set up advertising/promotional displays.
Maintain cleaning and sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas, including parking lot.
Provide friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers, including current store and product information.
Assist customers in loading purchases into vehicles when requested.
Perform basic bookkeeping duties, recording lost or damaged goods and store supplies.
Qualifications
Read and write English; interact with general public and co‑workers.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers and employees.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently 45 pounds, and occasionally 60 pounds.
Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra awesome).
Retail management certificate (extra awesome).
