Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.
SUMMARY The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. Meat manager must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining product, as well as demonstrate competency in, inventory control, ordering and receiving product, and labor management/scheduling. Strong organizational skills, as well as prioritizing multiple tasks are required. Manager is responsible for setting an example in providing attentive and courteous customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Remarkable Customer Service when attending to customer needs
Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Meat operations, safety, and sanitation
Fulfill weekly product orders while adhering to store policies in order to maintain adequate supply levels
Achieve financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization, as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense
Enforce a “Clean as you go” policy to ensure sanitary work conditions
Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product
Follow all store procedure and Shrink guidelines with respect to conversions, markdowns and discards of meat products
Selection, training, development and scheduling of Meat associates
Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Meat Department (i.e. KLT, SIR380)
Ensure proper temperatures are maintained in cooler, prep area, freezer, and cases and are in working condition
Knowledge of meat and different cuts of meat
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age
Certified Meat Cutter
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
Possess basic computer skills
Possess strong communication skills
EQUIPMENT USED
Operation of the following
Knives
Bandsaw
Patty Machine
High Pressure Cleaner
Pallet Jack
Grinder
Cubing Machine
Wrapping Machine
Baler/Compactor
