Job Overview Fairview Range is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider for the Urgent Care Department in Hibbing, MN. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is responsible for medical care of patients in the Urgent Care Department during assigned shifts.

Schedule This position will work 12 shifts per month. The shift length will be 12‑hours, including one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

Clinical Practice: Providing safe care in a systemic way, including assessment and overall care management of a specified patient population under the supervision of an MD.

Exercising independent judgment in assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of medical processes and procedures in line with scope of practice as NP or PA.

Having specialized knowledge and skill on matters of urgent care, pharmacology, and education.

Teamwork: Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others, respecting and understanding other clinical disciplines.

Using a coordinated approach to patient outcomes.

Quality/Best Practice: Utilizing standards, guidelines, and protocols for care delivery.

Incorporating data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Progressive clinical experience.

Master’s degree in advanced practice nursing or Physician Assistant studies.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a master’s or doctorate degree as an Advanced Practice OR Graduate of an accredited school of Physician Assistant studies with a master’s or doctorate degree.

Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license from MN Board of Nursing. Physician Assistant studies certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate degree in advanced practice nursing or Physician Assistant studies.

Clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a Primary Care or Urgent Care setting preferred.

Compensation Disclaimer The posted pay range is for a 40‑hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
